We all know Perry is an absolute favorite of yours, so maybe you could list both of her series as a whole and include other books. There certainly are other authors who deserve recognition, and many readers use your lists as resources.
This has been a crazy year for us all. However, I only review books I love and whether it was due to the effect of the added stress of this past year on me as a reader, or maybe even the affect on authors (there’s no way to know which is true, though I would guess it’s a combination of both), I generally did not find myself falling in review-worthy-love with as many books in 2020.
I don’t have limited reading time so for me reading Perry books is not “instead of” other books. The fact that I chose to review more of her books this year does not mean that I didn’t have time for other books, rather it simply means that her books were the ones that I genuinely loved most this past year. I actually read several other books this year by many different authors that didn’t make it to this list because I genuinely didn’t love them enough to want to rave about them. Regardless of my own reading though, I do continue to share a wide variety of new releases each week so that readers may connect with books they love.
The reason I love Perry books so much is that her books are varied in storyline, but all have the same heart-racing qualities that make me fall in love with them. It would not be fair to each of these stories for me to group them together because each book is so very different than the next.
Regarding reviews, it has always been my policy that I will share my favorites no matter what they are, even if that means that in the middle of the craziest, most stressful year in many of our lifetimes, I end up with top favorites list that is smaller than normal.

I really want to read The Summer Garden by Paulina Simons as I’ve read the first two. Does anyone know if the ebook ever goes on sale?
Aestas says
Very, very rarely. Usually at most once a year or every few years. 🙁
Carol says
Thank you. Please post if you see it go on sale! 🤗
