Personal non-legally note from me (Aestas): To summarize everything my website does in plain English, basically when you comment on a post, you’re asked to provide a name and email address (and an optional website if you choose). Honestly, it doesn’t matter if it’s a real or fake name and I don’t do anything with that information. I just ask for it so that my website can see you’re not a spammy robot. If you subscribe to my emails/newsletters then, obviously, I need your email address, but I do not share ANY of your information with anyone. Honestly, I don’t even look at it myself. It’s all just collected through my email service (Mail Chimp) which automatically sends you emails when I set them up if you’re subscribed. I don’t ever sign anyone up for my newsletter personally, so you have to actively choose to sign up/subscribe yourself, and you can always unsubscribe at anytime in the link at the bottom of every newsletter I send. The only other time I ever collect information from you is if you are a giveaway winner, in which case I’ll privately ask for your name, email and possibly mailing address if applicable. If that information needs to be given to anyone else (i.e. the author/publisher giving the prize), then I will tell you who that person who will be getting your information is and I will always ask your consent in writing before passing on that information. Nobody else ever sees that information. The giveaways I run through Rafflecopter are subject to their own Terms and Conditions. I do use Google Analytics to track general data on my own site but to my knowledge, none of that information is personal so it can’t really tell me anything about you specifically. Honestly, that’s really it. I’ll put the more official jargon below here and if you want to know more, you’re always welcome to contact me directly at [email protected] but bottom line is that I’m here to bring you good books, nothing else. 🙂
