TOP RECOMMENDATION: Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer (Read my Review) 
***DEEP BREATH*** I just finished reading this book because it had intrigued me from the moment I read the blurb. It’s a very SERIOUS book. Deep. Thoughtful. Painful. Hopeful. And SO WELL WRITTEN!!! I’ve read many lighter books recently and I was craving some kind of balance and the story captivated me in the first 2 pages and I literally read it straight through without stopping. It’s a quiet but POWERFUL story. It’s not a “Romance” but there is a love story. It’s more about PEOPLE. Friendship. Family. Love. Loss. More like mature YA fiction. The writing was BEAUTIFUL. I highlighted so many passages. The characters were complex and compelling. It was the perfect “change of pace” I wanted and delivered a deeply SATISFYING story. It’s very DIFFERENT than what I usually read but I loved it!! Also, it’s actually on sale right now!! It released at $12.99 but it’s currently discounted at this link!!
