NEW RECOMMENDATION: Come Closer by Brenda Rothert (Read my Review)
This was a really great new FORBIDDEN ROMANCE between a tattooed, former military doctor with a tortured past fighting an attraction to the one woman he can’t have — a beautiful new patient committed to his mental hospital. I loved the sexy slow burn of their relationship and the way they had to keep their feelings hidden from everyone around them… forbidden desire, when written well as it was in this book, can be SO HOT!!! The story also a suspenseful twist to it that throws them both in danger and left it up to him to put everything he’d built on the line to protect her… This was a wonderful read!! Sexy, suspenseful, and romantic!

The closer we get, the more I’m tempted to cross my professional boundaries and give in to my desire…”

I hadn’t been able to reach her, and the guilt only burned hotter over time. Four years later, I was the unreachable one. Heroes aren’t always saints. Sometimes, we’re nothing more than jaded sinners driven by sleepless nights and hearts full of darkness.
And then I met her. She was a dreamer who managed to soothe my scars and heal my wounds. But, as the flames closed in around us, I feared I wasn’t the right man to save her… That is until I realized she was the one woman I’d burn the world down to protect.”

When Kailey met Cade ten years ago, their attraction was immediate and intense—everything connected and felt right. But it all ended suddenly, leaving Kailey devastated. Now the poor soul on the street is a faded version of her former beloved: His weathered and weary face is as handsome as Kailey remembers, but his mind has suffered in the intervening years. So Eve and her team must get started on the legwork, interviewing everyone from dinner-party guests to professional colleagues to caterers, in a desperate race to answer some crucial questions:
What does the devil look like? And where will he show up next?”

To Catch a Killer by Sheryl Scarborough — New Release!!

As a toddler, Erin survived for three days alongside the corpse of her murdered mother, and the case—which remains unsolved—fascinated a nation. Her father’s identity unknown, Erin was taken in by her mother’s best friend and has become a relatively normal teen in spite of the looming questions about her past.
Fourteen years later, Erin is once again at the center of a brutal homicide when she finds the body of her biology teacher. When questioned by the police, Erin tells almost the whole truth, but never voices her suspicions that her mother’s killer has struck again in order to protect the casework she’s secretly doing on her own.
Inspired by her uncle, an FBI agent, Erin has ramped up her forensic hobby into a full-blown cold-case investigation. This new murder makes her certain she’s close to the truth, but when all the evidence starts to point the authorities straight to Erin, she turns to her longtime crush (and fellow suspect) Journey Michaels to help her crack the case before it’s too late.
