WELCOME TO THE NEW BLOG DESIGN!

I’m so excited to share this new design with you but wanted to explain it a bit because there’s more to it than meets the eye… Over the last few months, I’ve been in the process of developing a very special new blog feature that is not live yet, but it is really BIG and completely UNIQUE — this kind of thing has never been seen before on any other book blog! In order to incorporate this special feature into the blog though, I had to redesign it… However, I didn’t want to launch the blog’s redesign and new special feature at the same time because I felt it might be a little overwhelming. So, I’ve launched the new blog design now so that you guys can get used to it, and very, I’ll be launching the special new feature which I am SO EXCITED ABOUT!! It’s top secret — I literally haven’t told anyone about it yet — and I seriously cannot WAIT to show it to you guys!

See that black bar up above? That’s where the special feature will be launching… You are going to LOVE it!

Why is the special feature is taking longer than anticipated to launch? Here’s the reason… Most people don’t realize is how big is it. It is HUGE. It’s not a small feature. It’s not even a big feature. It is HUUUGE. MASSIVE. I can’t properly describe how large it is without directly telling you what it is (and I haven’t told anyone because I want it to be a surprise). I’ve been working non-stop every single day for months. But it’s SO complex that sometimes projects like these have unanticipated delays due to their complexity — which is what happened here.

Seem when this new blog design was launched in April, the special feature was actually in it’s final stages of development. But at the last minute (we’re literally talking 3 days before I intended to launch it), I decided to add some major changes which made the feature even bigger. Then within 2 days after that as we developed it more, it got even bigger and bigger. So the whole thing went back to development phase to incorporate these new features onto an already massive project. Basically, it kept growing and I chose to let it grow and be bigger even at the cost of it taking more time. I’m really sorry for the delay BUT I’m confident that once you see it, you’ll agree it was worth the wait.

At this point though, it is VERY near completion and it will be launched VERY soon!

Haha, here’s an analogy to describe it… We set out to build an awesome little wagon, but it ended up being a sports car. So the project basically got bigger than even we anticipated.

By the way, the site looks different on mobile devices and computers so be sure to check it out on both. Also, if you’re on a mobile device like an iPhone or iPad, you can choose to “Add to Home Screen” to add Aestas Book Blog’s icon to your dashboard and make it even easier to check back for updates!

    I have a wish and a suggestion:
    Wish–I think I’ve thoroughly scanned your blog looking for a SEARCH field to no avail. Any chance of adding one? It’s the one feature on your blog that I’m missing.

  16. I am hoping that there might be an area where we can enter a book name to see if it was reviewed. Saves looking through the hundreds of books.
    I do like the clean look of the new layout 🙂

    • Yes, if you check the second paragraph above, I updated it to share with you guys what is going on with it. It will be launched with the additional developments this month (June) — guaranteed!

    • It’s in the very final stages. When you guys see it, you’ll understand why it took this long. It’s bigger than anything you’re probably thinking it is. And as such, creating it takes a lot time. I’ve been working on it for multiple hours each for for literally months so I’m working as fast as I can and the moment I’m done, it will launch. I am in the very very very last stage though. 🙂

    • I’m literally working every single day for hours and hours on end to get it finalized. I showed it to the first person EVER yesterday actually because it’s very near completion and I wanted some feedback and she was SUPER impressed so I’m basically working as hard as I can and as fast as I can and my hope is that it’ll be done in the next week or two. When you see just how big it is, I promise you’ll understand exactly why it’s taken this long. It’s literally unlike anything anyone’s done before. 🙂

    • It has become HUGE. Like *******HUGE********. Bigger than when I last told you it was huge. The plan was actually to release it yesterday but due to some last minute additions we pushed it back a week. I haven’t been announcing a specific day because I didn’t want to be held accountable to it but my guess is that it will be in the next week or so 🙂

    • We’ve been almost ready for the last 4 weeks but it’s literally SO big that launching it is much more complex that just posting it and saying it’s done. But it is fully completed (no work left to do on it) and should be launching quite soon 🙂
