Do you want to meet THE. Ultimate. Alpha Male. Character?? Grab yourselves a copy of Darkfever and meet the enigmatic, mysterious, fiercely protective, powerful and dominating Jericho Z Barrons.

All I can say is if you want a completed book series with an incredible plot, a unique world, and vivid, multi-layered characters with deep pasts, where EVERYTHING happens for a reason (having finished them, I realized there was absolutely NO fluff in these series at ALL), and a full-filling, heart-warming HEA, then this is the series for you.

Moning does a masterful job of building an world full of multiple complex story lines and then weaves them all together seamlessly in a way that will keep you guessing right up till the very end. (ALL my predictions were wrong! and that doesn’t happen very often)… This book will have you going crazy asking “What IS Barrons????”

“When you know who I am. Let me be your man.”

Seriously, this is one of the BEST series I have EVER read. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

The first book is a little slower though because this is really a story that BUILDS. If you find it slow, don’t worry and don’t stop!!! It’s worth it to keep going 😀

The first 5 books may be read together as a COMPLETED series and should be read in order. It is one continuous story. Each book starts right where the previous one left off. And the SERIES ending is a HEA. The individual books themselves have cliffhangers since the story spans 5 books.

And they are definitely ‘adult’, not YA.

  1. Wow! I JUST finished the ”Fever” series per your blogs recomdation and it was AMAZING!!! I hate that it’s over. It’s been both an emotional and physical experience with these books; anger, joy, lust, hate, tension, release. Thank you for the review. On a side note, I was so glad to have read ”The Highlander Series” prior to ”Fever”, although it’s not necessary, it was an added bonus to know the back story of some of the characters mentioned. Karen Marie Morning is an absolute dream author! Her books take you by the hand and walk you through and epic journey that makes you smile, tear up and literally giggle out load. Loved them and can’t wait to read some of your other recommendations! I am hooked on PNR/UF books!

  2. Great review on this! I absolutely loved this series. My favorite book was the spin-off “Iced”. The next book “Burned” is out January 20th. I’ll definitely be reading that one.

  5. starting from book 6 it’s only in kindle i don’t have that i like to read the books. love the serie and all like to know what happen after. is there a way that could be made on paperback i would ove to know what happen after book 5 . thank you.

    • To be honest, I’m not sure why. My guess is that their print versions all released in hardcover but are now transitioning to paperback so that might explain why neither option is available. Given that these are traditionally published books though, I’m sure print copies will be available soon. My advice for now is to try your local bookstore and see if they have any left over hardcovers.

  6. Read the first 5 books in this series and just..WOW. Bizaarly, my mother was also reading the series, neither of knowing the other one was. I was one book ahead of her, and trying to keep it to myself was really hard. Just about to start the Highlander series. Cannot wait x x

  7. This is my favorite book series and I think KMM finished Mac and Barren’s story perfectly. I really enjoyed the way KMM wrote the entire series. I have been a reader my whole life and I have never felt so invested in a story and its characters. KMM’s unique style makes these books addictive. These stories leave me thinking and obsessing about the characters long after I finish the books. I am so excited to hear more of Dani’s story in the next book!!

  9. You really should suggest starting with the Highlander books. They provide background information for key characters, like the druids. Plus they are amazingly hot, intense books.

    • You certainly can if you want. I preferred reading them this way and the Fever series is its own series but you could read the Highlanders first if you choose 🙂

  10. I would also suggest Karen’s Druid series. It will fill in questions one might have tied to the Druids that are guest stars in the Fever series.
