Book News & Current Sales – June 8, 2013

First of all, I just want to say how much I just love seeing all these books in my local book store! I read most of them (or the first in the series) when they were originally released as indies so seeing them all together in a huge book store now is just kind of awesome!!

• Sylvia Day did a video interview with Aestas Book Blog discussing the Crossfire series. In the interview, she talks about her inspiration for Gideon, Eva and the series as a whole, about the future of the Crossfire series, and about how she became an author. The interview is spoiler-free. Watch here.

• 1.5 MORE DAYS till FOREVER TOO FAR by Abbi Glines!!!! Don’t forget to read Abbi’s message about the series reading order:

• Jasinda Wilder has released a special extended teaser from Falling Into Us. This book will be released on June 21 and is a parallel book to Falling Into You (not a sequel) that can be read as a standalone. In it, you will see more of Nell, Colt and even Kyle. She warns to bring tissues!!

• EPILOGUE: THE DARK DUET will be released early!!!!! June 11th is the new release date!! Woohoo! Only a few more days! Check out CJ Roberts’ personal video message and be sure to pre-order it to get it the moment it goes live!

• CROSSFIRE SERIES UPDATE from Sylvia Day!! Here’s what she said regarding the release of book #4 of the series:

• NEW BOOK ALERT for EVERSEA by Natasha Boyd! I haven’t read this one yet (it was just released yesterday) but the hero is a Hollywood mega-star heartthrob and I like the premise! This is the first in a 2-book series. The second book will be out in the fall.

• J. Lynn released a TEASER from BE WITH ME (Wait For You #2) by J. Lynn!! I can’t wait for this!! If you haven’t read the first book “WAIT FOR ME” yet, it can be read as a standalone! I loved it!

The color scheme and general functionality will be the same (same reviews, categories, links etc) but it’ll be prettier, better organized, faster loading and generally easier to use. It’ll also have new features like a “store” where you can buy tee-shits, hoodies, mugs etc that are all book related! This is a must-read for any fan of ROCK STAR romance. Not since Thoughtless have I read a rock star book that took over my heart this completely. The sequel will be out on August 20, but this can be read on it’s own now. It has a happy ending!

 

CAPTIVE IN THE DARK (The Dark Duet #1) by CJ Roberts  — SALE $0.99

This is book #1 of one my TOP favorite 5+ star series! It’s dark, twisted, powerful and mindf*ckingly captivating… truly a MUST read! It’s a completed book duet with an extended Epilogue book being released on June 11. Trust me, this is an AWESOME series!

SWEET THING by Renee Carlino — SALE $0.99

I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Will Ryan. I’m in love. Oh, and did I mention he was a bit of a rockstar?? Sweet Thing was a sweet, heartbreaking and romantic story that kept me up reading all night!  Here’s my review.

 

FOREVER MY GIRL (The Beaumont Series #1) by Heidi McLaughlin — SALE $1.99

This is a beautiful second-chance rock star romance with a happy ending! If you’re looking for something sweet and emotional, this is definitely one to check out!

 

REMEMBER WHEN by T. Torrest — SALE $0.99

I haven’t read this one yet but its high on my reading list and it’s on sale for $0.99 today! The hero seems to be a bad boy actor and the whole premise has me intrigued!

 

PUSHING THE LIMITS (Pushing The Limits #1) by Katie McGarry — 50% OFF!!

This is one of my favorite YA romances! It’s heart wrenching but has a happy ending and there are more books in the series available. It’s usually just over $7 and it’s one of the books that rarely is on sale so grab it while you can!

 

THERE IS NO LIGHT IN DARKNESS (Darkness #1) by Claire Contreras — SALE $0.99

This book had me so so SO freaking HOOKED!! I couldn’t put it down!  It had ANGST (my heart was racing!), mystery (I had SO many questions!) and OMG I am in LOVE with Cole!!! Oh, and it’s on SALE for $0.99 right now! I’m writing my review now but it’s a top recommendation! And the sequel (last book in the series) comes out this Friday so not long to wait!!

SINS & NEEDLES (The Artists Trilogy #1) by Karina Halle — SALE $0.99

Such a wild ride!! It was just such a “different” read! It was quite refreshing to read something that you really can’t compare to anything else. It was edgy and gritty, at times heart breaking and others steamy, along with a touch of snark.

 

THE FINAL PIECE by Maggie Myers — SALE $0.99

This was a captivating, emotional story of a girl healing from shattered trust and childhood abuse, finding her self worth, and falling in love. It was a beautiful book – hard to read in places, but really well written, and had a happy ending. Here is my review.

TANGLED by Emma Chase — TOP RECOMMENDATION

One of the most HILARIOUS, romantic, all-out FUN books I’ve ever read. If you want a good laugh, this is a MUST read!!!! Just think Wallbanger meets Beautiful Bastard 😀 I swear half my book is highlighted. This is one of my TOP recommendations for EVERYONE! Read my review for more details.

BEAUTY FROM PAIN (Beauty #1) by Georgia Cates — SALE $0.99

I just finished this last night and really enjoyed it!! I’m writing my review today.  I was holding off before because it has a cliffhanger ending. But, the second book will be released on May 30th so if you’re interested, now’s the time to grab it while it’s on sale!!

SURVIVING RAINE by Shay Savage — PRICE DROP

This was an awesome read with a refreshing story line (hero and heroine are stranded together on a life raft in the middle of the ocean after their ship goes down) and one badass, lovable jerk 😉

 

MY SIDE by Tara Brown — SALE $0.99 + NEW RELEASE

LOL! I haven’t read this but the author posted this note about it that made me want to give it a shot –>  “I hope you like it. It’s my very first Romance novel. No weirdness or strange sex. No cliffhanger and no sequel. NO companion novel… Do not even ask!!! Just a happily ever after. NOT MY KIND OF BOOK!! But I challenged myself. Ohhhh and no love triangle. That’s right bitches… I did it. No cliffy and no triangle. I went all out for you.”
