- The director of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie has been announced!! Read the official announcement here. This is what E.L. James posted today:
Sam Taylor-Johnson, whose directorial debut was 2009′s Nowhere Boy about the early life of John Lennon, has been secured to direct 50 Shades Of Grey, the sizzling novel adaptation from Universal Pictures and Focus Features. Fellow Brit Kelly Marcel has written the script for the movie, based on EL James’bestseller that follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele. Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca are producing alongside James. “Sam’s unique ability to gracefully showcase complex relationships dealing with love, emotion and sexual chemistry make her the ideal director to bring Christian and Anastasia’s relationship to life,” said De Luca. “EL James’ characters and vivid storytelling require a director who is willing to take risks and push the envelope where needed, and Sam is a natural fit.”
- Aleatha Romig has announced that the manuscript for Convicted (Consequences #3) has been completed!!!!! As of right now there is no set release date but she is hoping to have it out before the end of 2013. This series is an absolute mind f*ck of a read that’ll have you questioning every single feeling/thought you have! If you want a psychological thriller/dark romance, this is it! - Nina Lane, the author of Arouse and Allure (two of my most favorite reads of the year), has confirmed that Liv & Dean’s story will definitely be a trilogy, with the final book “Awaken” released later this year. There is a possibility of more books based on other characters, but AWAKEN will be the final Liv & Dean installment.
