Edit in October 2016
BREAKING NEWS: I’m so excited to announced that the Aestas Book Database (“BookDB”) has launched!! It features over 4000 books, 850 authors, 800 series, and 215 lists of books in every category I could think of!
BookDB is basically an extension Aestas Book Blog that provides a personalized and custom-designed book-themed search engine, tailored lists of books in specific categories, an innovative advanced search feature, categorized lists of books, and an interconnected network of books, authors, and series. This site is different from sites like Goodreads or Amazon because the books here have all been carefully and individually selected by me (Aestas) as ones I think sound good, or that I’ve personally read and loved. This all started because I get asked so many times each day by readers, “Hey, do you remember that book where…” or “What was that book that had a….” etc and while I love answering these questions, I also wanted to build a search enging that would help readers find the specific books they were searching for faster, accurately, and easily. So, the Aestas Book Database was designed and launched!
Ready to try it??
Click here to enter the Aestas Book Database “BookDB” 😀
PS: I’m going to leave the old lists active in case you wanted to still use them. So they’re all linked down below…
WHAT KIND OF BOOK LIST ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ?

Aestas says
You’re welcome! I was thinking about BDSM and Paranormal the other day too. I’ll add them to the list of upcoming categories. Thanks for suggesting them. They’ll be fun to make 🙂

Denise says
I love all your categories!! Some of my favorites you have listed are reclusive heroes, second chance and forbidden. I don’t know what you would call this category that would be non-profane but I was thinking of a mindfuck category. Books like Black Lies, Unravel, Insanity by Lauren Hammond, Consequences are some examples. I young adult category might be good too!!
Denise says
* I THINK a young adult….
Aestas says
Oooh yes “Mindfuck” type reads absolutely will be getting a category. YA too! Eeeeeep!! I can’t *wait* to start putting these together!! Thank you for suggesting them. It’s so helpful to me to see what you guys are interested in 🙂

I think this will be a go-to list that I will be referring to often. Thank you for making it!
How about a “SECRET BABIES” catagory? The first one that pops into my mind id Cynthia D’Alba’s TEXAS TWO-STEP the Prequel followed up by TEXAS TWO-STEP.
Aestas says
It’s funny you mention this because I was originally planning to do a “couples with kids” section but just didn’t have time before launching. It’s definitely one of the ones I’m excited to put together though 🙂
Tanya says
I love the one where (usually) the father doesn’t know he even had a child until he meets up with the woman a year or ten later. Of course, there are different twists for this. I also like MENAGES and wolf shifters! Thank you again for this page 🙂
Aestas says
Yes!! I agree with you about the ones where the kid is a surprise! There are some great reads in that category. Will add it to the to-do list! (and the others too)
chris letts says
one word…….brilliant!
Aestas says
Thanks!! 😀
Anna says
This is great! I’ll definitely keep referring to it when I need some book suggestions. 🙂
I thought of a couple suggestions?
-Foreign guys, or
-books where the MC travels abroad
Aestas says

Alex says

Book of Fantasies WHITE by K. Book of Fantasies RED by K. Book of Fantasies BLACK by K
Aestas says
thanks! glad you like the lists!
Mel says
Love this!
How about “Loyal heroes” Or “No cheating” for those of us that try to avoid these books?
Aestas says
Thanks! Glad you love it!
Actually, you’re pretty safe on my blog for “no cheating” heroes. I pretty much have a zero tolerance of cheating in my books so if I recommend it, you can mostly always count on the fact that it doesn’t have cheating. There might be a very rare exception here or there but usually in those cases, something about the situation is special enough for it to become ‘acceptable’ for me. But generally, everything on this blog is cheating-free 🙂
Swaths says
Aestas, thank you for compiling these lists. I have found that we more or less share similar tastes in books so if you categorize something as 4+ mostly I like it. So the books by these themes are throwing out some books that have been in my lists for quite some time but now I think I will go and read them. thank you again ! Swaths…
Aestas says
You’re welcome! I’m so excited if these lists’ll make readers start books they’ve been thinking about for a while but not read yet. Enjoy!! 😀
Lily M says

Aestas says
So glad you love it 😀
yuyu says
No Alpha Male list?? 🙁
Aestas says
Technically every single guy in every category is an Alpha male because that’s the only kind of book hero I like to read about. But if you want Badass Alphas, there’s a category here: http://aestasbookblog.com/badass-alphas/
🙂
Sarra Cannon says
Yay! So excited to see these lists! Thanks so much for adding them to the site. I feel like I am going to be spending g a lot of time here, haha.

Stephanie
Aestas says
YAY!!! Welcome 😀
claire says
I always look at you reviews as i know you are honest. I know it takes you forever to do these lists. Wish you would include UK links but understand why you dont
Aestas says
Yeah, it’s just really complicated to do that. I’ll consider adding them as a future addition though <3
Charli Denae says
Love this, Aestas!! What a great idea!! Thank you!!

I love them! The best part is how the queen of alpha males Kristen Ashley took over the Badass Heroes category 🙂 she absolutely writes the best badasses
Aestas says
Heeheehee!!! It’s so true! She’s the queen of alpha male books 😉
Sally says
Hey Aestas !
I really love your blog. I have such a long list because I keep adding new ones and end up not knowing what to read. 🙂
Keep on posting mazing blogs x
Aestas says
Thank you!!!!!
Rashea says
Do you have any favorites/ recommendations for adult Christmas romance books!?
Thanks!
Aestas says
I’ll consider adding in that category!
Sabrina says
Could you start a Alpha Male book list?
Aestas says
Actually technically ALL of these books (or about 98% of them have Alpha male heroes) which is why I don’t specifically have an Alpha list. I only like to read Alpha male heroes so it’s very rare for me to ever read a book without one… therefore…. all of these = Alphas 🙂
Christy says
How about “Mindfucks?” Books that take you on a wild ride. Keep you guessing, but never quite figuring it all out until all is revealed in the end.
Aestas says
ooh, that’s a great one! For now, check out the “dark romance” section 😉
Mie says
You are amazing. Thank you for the lists! So glad I found your blog 😉
Aestas says
You’re so welcome!!
frances says

Sylvie Parizeau says
Bonjour, Generous Person behind Aestas,
I’m one of those aliens that are just now discovering blogs, social medias and other unknowns that are well known. I’m blown away… I’ve been browsing and reading your lists for the past two hours. I’m newly addicted to you. I’m in love! Thank you. I inhale romances and your words speak to me. Your reviews on books that I love myself are spot on. I will happily discover new authors and add to my TBR pile. Once I’m back from my shock I’ll even be able to recommend some. I’m going back to my browsing now.
Aestas says
Salut!
Welcome to my blog!! I’m so glad you found it and that you’re enjoying it here! I hope you find lots of new favorite books 😀
Happy reading!
Suzi says
I’m looking for series. Continuation of the same couples.
Thanks so much for all you do to keep your readers happy 🙂
Amy says
Hellos =) Idk if you take requests, but if you do, maybe a category for the character/s that fell in love when they were young. Like in love with their best friend/ bother’s friend/ next door neighbor, something like that. Along those lines.
Another idea is Bodyguard/ Protector romance.
I always look for these types of books all the time and usually LOVE them so much. I feel like I’ve read all the good ones. =/ Your site always helps me find something new to obsess over. So THANK YOU <3
Jennifer says
Thank you for all the work you put into these, but I wish you could have one for a list of stranded couples. For example stranded on an island or stranded in snow storm and where they have to work together to survive. These are my favorite type book and they are hard to find. Thanks again
ardra says

ardra says

Anna says
Love this site. How about a category for best audiobooks?
Kristina says
You should have a category for paranormal.
Aestas says
That’s here: http://aestasbookblog.com/top-10-paranormal-romances/
I should probably add them to here though 😉
sam says
Oh, love the lists! Do you have a list of tattoed men?
Alexis says
Hey! Do you by chance have a single parent category? Or some books that you can recommend in that category?? Thanks in advance! You’re like my guide to buying and reading new books! ❤️
Aestas says
No, but I should! That’s next on my list!
Sonya McAlister says
I love your blog and rely on your reviews to help me find new books to read. My daughter loves to read and she will be 17 next week. Do you have a young adult list. She is a good girl and doesn’t like to read the hard core books with sex, lots of cuss words, or has a lot of violence. She loved Paper Towns.I would just like to be able to sit down with her and share what we read together. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Ina Britton says
Really love the site. I think you should have also categories for Baby Boomer and paranormal.
Katie says
Yes!!! Please add Bikers to your list! I’m Looking for some great biker story’s with an HEA right now. I’ve read all of Joanna Wylde books, I need more!! 🙂
Nourhan El-Halabi says
hey i love this feature but there is one genre i love reading and can never find the best book without reading 10 bad ones. Can you please add abused heroines, like the skittish / shy heroines or reclusive shy/ abused heroes if u know what i’m saying books similar to When It Rains by Lisa De Jong, Breathe Series by Rebeca Donovan, and Shattered by You by Nashoda Rose. Books similar to that ?
Thank You <3
Allison says
Do you have an MM list? I’m running out of books to read…
Also, I second the cheers for Judith McNaught — one of my favorite authors of all time.
Charlie says
I find that I often return to this section when I am looking for a new read, so it is obviously one of my favorite places to visit. With that said, I seem to be more and more frustrated with most characters being so very young!! How about a section for the not-so-young? I don’t think that the 40ish range is ‘senior’, however, it would appear that many publishers do not put a great deal of stock in the fact that romance is possible over the age of 20. KA has several fantastic books written with the age group and I would love to see other authors as well. Do you have any suggestions?? Thanks!
Sejal says
I’ve been dying for some paranormal romance. Think you can add that category to this list?
Hiragari says
Thank you so very, very much for this page. I’m definitely bookmarking this page. I’ll check it every day for new books.
I’m looking forward for the new updates! Fight fight!! \(^v^)/
Jennifer says
What about a fantasy section? I absolutely loved Kristen Ashley’s fantasy land series and have a hard time finding series like them (but can also be read stand alone). Thank you for your blog- it’s a great reference and keep up the great work! I’m an avid reader myself but my main topics I read are historical romances and fantasy romance novels. ( and the occasional contemporary)…
Thanks again!
Jennifer says
Oops I just found the fantasy section! I loved the sword of truth series but not enough steamy romance lol.
Luisa says
Love love love your blog… You are brilliant!! Thank you so much for what you do !!!
You should also consider inputting Vampire Academy series in the Forbidden Love sec. If you haven’t read it, I recommend it!
Ezzy says
How about a mafia section. I loved the jj McAvoy’s Ruthless people series and I would love more of those.
Angela Shayne Yamsuan says
Add “childhood friends reunited” in your category please ^_^ I really like your reviews!! They make me want to pick up the book right away hahaha thank you! ?
Erin Bradshaw says
I love the listings, but do you have a general search for the reviews you’ve done? If I am interested in reading a book and I wondered if you read it already. Any way to search the entire listing of your reviews?
Aestas says
Yup! 🙂 Go to the top menu bar, click reviews, and drop down to ALL REVIEWS A-Z. They’re listed alphabetically there.
Lorraine says
A bit late joining the party, but oh well.
Thanks very much and I hope I won’t give in too much to my temptations. 🙂
sara fekry says
Aestas honestly I think I am obsessed with your blog whenever I am looking for a new romance I come here, no recommendation I took from here ever let me down so thank you! 🙂

Any chance of adding a mystery/ thriller section. Love your lists!
Aestas says
For sure! It’ll be one of the next ones to add 🙂
Suzi says
Love your blog! Love series with the same couples the most. Was just wondering if I missed a category for romantic suspense
Aestas says
That’s in the works!!
Siya says
I love your blog. Because of you I have found some really amazing books. Your reviews are great.

Manda says
I have read a few books recommended by you since a few days and I’ve had a great reading. Thanks for the blog and keep it up.
manda says
Do you update this list often ? It is just that it is dated Sept 2014, I like this kind of list where by I can read by category.
Kerry says
Love these lists. How bout a survival romance category?
Aestas says
It’s in the works!!
fatema says
love your blog!! helps so much when i am lost on what book to read next. If possible Could you also have an Office Romance Category.
Aestas says
Yes for sure! That is in the works 🙂
Cara says
I love your lists so much! The blog is an effective medium, and more importantly your insights are always right on the money!
I do have two requests for lists:
1. Best series
2. Best online/where they talk before meeting in person romance
Thanks so much for giving us this blog of book joy!
Aestas says
I will add that to my to-do list!! 😀
Elly says
WOW… THIS PAGE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! (I’m speechless) SUPER HAPPY THAT I FOUND IT!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP! 😀 (Cause my life depends on this!)
Also a category I would like to recommend is a Food+Love (Please come up with a title) and Secret Love Identity. Some books I read that is in the Food+Love category is called “You’re Bacon Me Crazy, Cake Pop Crush, and Macarons At Midnight”, all by Suzanne Nelson. One book I would recommend for The Secret Love Identity category is “Tell Me Three Things” by Julie Buxbaum. Thanks! 🙂
Bex says
Hi, do u have a lust for mc romance?
Aestas says
It’s coming very soon! 🙂
Nastasia says
Okay so I guess I don’t know what catagory I am looking for. Im not sure how to word it. I like books like Abbi Glines. With the drama? Or is it called angst? Like how the man in the book falls hard for the girl but something happens, or there is a misunderstanding and he has to win her back. Or where he makes a mistake and she runs and he has to grovel. Is there even a catagory for this? Lol
Marcie Boyer says
I love this list and refer to it often when looking for new suggestions. I have two suggestions for lists. How about Mob/Mafia Series (sometimes these fall into Dark Romance, but I think they deserve their own list) it would include some of my favoriteslike In the Company of Killers – Redmerski, Monster in His Eyes – Darhower, Ruthless Series -McAvoy, Carter Reed – Tijan and then another category might include Best Audiobooks or Best Narrators. I LOVE to read and listen to many books an have a list of Narrators that I follow consistently.
Iva says
I love this list. It helps me a lot when I don’t know what to read next anymore. But today I finished reading a book and fell in love with it. I just have to recommend this book to you. I’m sure you will like it too. The book is by Renee Carling and is called Swear on this life. Read it. You will not going to regret reading this book definitely. 😉
Aestas says
I have a review of that listed under All Reviews. It’s also on my Top Favorites list of 2016 🙂
This is a bit of an older section of my blog (although I’m so glad you love it!) but I recommend you check out the 215 lists on BookDB too!! Lots more books to choose from!! http://aestasbookblog.com/bookdb/lists
Radha Bhatta says
Thank you so much for the blog.. Whenever I am looking for a new read this is where I visit. The list includes really good novels and I too rely upon your reviews for any recommendations.
Thumbs up to you for helping people sort out their novel choices..!!!
I REALLY LOVE THIS BLOG…!!!!!!!
