Changing Course by Aly Martinez (My Review) 

YAY!!! This was one of my favorite (and very unique) standalones of 2014 and it just went on sale for $0.99!! I absolutely LOVED it!! It had the perfect balance of heart wrenching angst, smoking hot romance and humor, along with a to-die-for Alpha hero!!! The moment that I started it, it drew me right into the story and I couldn’t put it down!!! It was heart wrenching, angsty, smoking hot, swoony, romantic, funny, emotional… and I totally fell for the hero. I just love protective, tortured heroes… *dreamy sigh* …. They make my heart melt!!!

HOLY WOW!!! So, I’ve finally worked up the courage to read this series — THE ORIGINAL SINNERS by Tiffany Reisz — that I’ve literally had on my reading list since mid-2012. I was equally curious about and yet kinda scared of it… but I’m glad I read it because OMG… it was GOOD!!! The writing was absolutely AMAZING! The story though was verrryyy different than a lot of what I read. It’s an erotic BDSM world and while there was definitely very deep, all-consuming LOVE, it was NOT a traditional romance. It was taboo and shocking at times, raw but extremely honest, very intricate and complex… It took me WAY the hell out of my usual “reading comfort zone” but the characters, the WRITING, and the DEPTH of the story hooked me on the series! I binge-read the first 4 books back-to-back! Purchase links and reviews below 😀
