SAY THE WORD by Julie Johnson — Recommendation!!! (My review)

I totally LOVED this book!!! It’s going on my favorites list!! I literally sat here all day glued to this book, unable to put it down!! It’s a second chance romance standalone mixed in with some suspense. Even just in the first few chapters, I already had butterflies, my heart was racing, I was excited, curious, heartbroken, laughing. ➜ “The heart isn’t like the liver. It doesn’t regenerate, no matter how much time passes. Once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. I’d left mine with Sebastian when I walked away that day, and I hadn’t seen it in the seven years since.”

BURNED by Tara Sivec — Latest Review!!! (My review)

SQUEEE!!! I just finished reading this and LOVED it!!! Holy hell, what a prologue!!! It just HOOKED me right in and I literally read this whole book in one sitting. It’s fast-paced, emotional, addictive, and SCORCHING H-O-T!!!!!! It’s a standalone, erotic second chance romance. No cliffhanger! I highly recommend it!! (PS: 25% of sales are being donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation)

MY SKYLAR by Penelope Ward — Recent review!!! (My review)

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever before had such a strong “LOVE-HATE” reaction to a book. I went through a lot of conflicting emotions and have explained them (spoiler free) in my review… but I have to admit, despite the conflict, I did really like it.

OMG. OMG. O-M-G!!!!! You guys HAVE to get this!!! This is literally it’s the most HILARIOUS (and sexy) book I’ve ever read!!! A 5-star MUST-READ and it almost never goes on sale but right now it’s only $2.99 (reg. price $6.99) *squeeeee*

TEN TINY BREATHS by KA Tucker — Rare sale!! (My review)

WOW!! This is one of my original top favorite books from back when I started my blog and it’s on sale today for only $2.99 (reg. $7.99). This is a standalone (but also the first in a series of standalones) and it almost never goes on sale so don’t miss out if you haven’t read it yet!!

It’s the first book of a completed trilogy that tells the most breathtaking, EPIC LOVE STORY ever!! Alexander & Tania’s romance is absolutely unforgettable. The writing is exquisite and makes you feel every single emotion to max. You don’t just read their story, you live it with them. Please, please pleeeeeease trust me and get this!!!! This is a life-changing read!

The Emi Lost & Found Series by Lori L. Otto (My Series Review)

I was absolutely blown away by this series!! It was one of the best & most unforgettable series I’ve ever read. It’s beautifully written, deeply emotional and it’s the kind of story that stays with you forever. It was 5 STARS for me!! Right now, you can buy the complete series (3.5 books) bundled together on sale AND, if you’ve already read the Emi series, then you can check out the YA spin-off series: #1 Contessa ($0.99), and #2 Olivia (just released).

O.M.G. !!!!!! The ‘Burg series by Kristen Ashley is on sale for $0.99 each!!! This is my MOST FAVORITE KA series. Seriously, you guys have to get these!!!! They’re usually $3.99 so $0.99 is a big discount!

Each book is a heart-melting second chance romance with badass ALPHA male heroes, deep emotions, and mixed in with some element of crime fighting. These romances though are just SO wonderful and they really are the heart & soul of these stories even though there’s always some crime-drama happening too. I think there’s something especially heart-wrenching about second chance romance because the emotional impact is just so strong due to the prior history between the two characters. And also, several of these characters have children too and the way KA writes family dynamics is just PURE, FREAKING *GOLD*.

Each book is a standalone about a different couple but I recommend reading them in order!

This is literally one of my favorite books in the world. Like, 6 stars-worth of awesome!! The heroine, Violet, lost everything the day her husband was murdered by a criminal madman. The man she loved was taken from her and she was left to raise their two daughters alone. The hero, Joe, is her scarred, scarily attractive security specialist neighbour, Joe Callahan. And though they meet in unlikely circumstances and begin a romance. But Joe has a dark, painful past and he’s not ready yet to move forward. But when her husband’s murderer begins an obsession with her, Joe puts his life on the line to keep Violet safe and win back her heart.

GOLDEN TRAIL (The ‘Burg #3) by Kristen Ashley — $0.99 Sale (My Review)

Another 5 star favorite!!!! Tanner and Raquel (Rocky) fell in love young but both of them knew a beautiful life they thought would be forever. Until Rocky left Layne, no explanation, no going back. Years pass and Layne finally returns to The ‘Burg to make sure his sons are raised right when his ex-wife hooks up with the town jerk. Layne manages to avoid Rocky but when Layne gets three bullets drilled into him while investigating a dirty cop, he can’t do that because Rocky stops avoiding Layne. They make a deal to work together to expose the dirty cop but they have no idea the strength of their enduring attraction…

GAMES OF THE HEART (The ‘Burg #4) by Kristen Ashley — $0.99 Sale (My Review)

Gorgeous swoony alpha cop (and amazing dad) + probably one of my all-time favorite heroines + a sexy, functional, no-bullshit relationship + a heart-melting story = 5 STARS!!

Dusty has loved Mike her whole life. But as the little sister of his high school girlfriend, they didn’t exactly have a fairy tale start. Towards the end of high school though, Dusty suddenly went off the rails and left town the moment she was free of school. Omg – this book made me ugly cry. Like, I genuinely SOBBED while reading. It’s not tragic though (don’t be freaked out) but if you’re looking for a STANDALONE that’ll give you a good cry, this is absolutely it.

This awesome book is the story of two people stranded together on a life raft after their ship goes down. The hero is a total jerk in the beginning but I ended up falling for him!! The regular price is $5.99 so this is a great deal!!

THE FINAL PIECE by Maggi Myers — $1.99 Sale (Read my review)

I loved this standalone romance! It’s about a girl whose trust had been shattered and the boy who helped her put the broken pieces of herself back together and brought love, trust and safety back to her life. It was a beautiful book – hard to read in places because of the subject matter, but really well written and with characters that I felt strongly connected to.

SCORING WILDER by RS Grey. This is a “fun and sexy” New Adult romance standalone. The hero is America’s favorite tattooed bad-boy and a professional soccer player and he just became the heroine’s new coach…. and she’s been forbidden to be with him!! Sounds really good!!

LOSING CONTROL by Jen Frederick. This new release has a pretty interesting blurb ➜ “I’d do anything to keep my mother alive. Anything, including ask Ian Kerr for help. I don’t know much about him, except that he has more money than some small countries. And he’s willing to spend it on me. Just one catch: there’s a string attached…

HARDLINE (Hacker Series #3) by Meredith Wild. This is the third book in the Hacker series. These are NOT standalones (they must be read in order) and I haven’t read this series but it’s a “dominant billionaire” type story. The hero is a billionaire hacker who owns a company that the heroine is trying to get to invest in her project. (#1 Hardwired, #2 Hardpressed, #3 Hardline)

DIRTY ANGELS by Karina Hale. This is a new standalone “dark romance about a good girl and a very, very bad man… A forbidden love set among the drug cartels of hot, steamy Mexico and is not for the faint of heart.”

NEANDERTHAL MARRIES HUMAN by Penny Reid. This is not a standalone, it is the sequel to Neanderthal Meets Human and should only be read after that book. I haven’t read either one yet but the first book has really high ratings and I’ve heard it’s quite smart and funny!

MASON by Tijan. This is a prequel to the Fallen Crest High series by Tijan. ➜ “This is the story of how he came to be and this is why so many love Mason Kade.” — I haven’t read this series yet but it has super high ratings. Here’s the full reading order: #0 Mason, #1 Fallen Crest High, #2 Fallen Crest Family, #3 Fallen Crest Public.

OLIVIA (Contessa #2) by Lori Otto. This is the second book in a YA series that is a spin-off of the amazing and emotional EMI LOST & FOUND series. It is NOT a standalone and should be read in the order listed below. If you are new to these, I highly recommend starting with the Emi Lost & Found series. It was a 5 STAR read for me!! Main series: Emi Lost & Found Series (3.5 books). Spin off series: #1 Contessa, #2 Olivia.

LIAM’S JOURNEY by Heidi McLaughlin. Rock star fans!! FOREVER MY GIRL & FINDING MY WAY, the two books that tell Liam’s story in the “Beaumont” second-chance rock star romance series are now available for purchase together. I loved the first one and can’t wait to read the next one!

MY SKYLAR by Penelope Ward. This is a new second chance romance STANDALONE that tells a “friends-to-lovers story of longing, passion, betrayal and redemption… with a twist that will rip your heart out.” — My heart totally squeezed when I read the blurb!!

WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART’S BLOOD by Diana Gabaldon. This is the highly anticipated eighth book in the Outlander series. Be careful not to read the blurb of this new book though unless you’ve read the previous books because it is quite spoiler-y (see full reading order). The Outlander series is an epic story that is now being turned into a TV series!!

BURNED by Tara Sivec. This a new erotic drama and I hear it’s HOT!! Check out the blurb ➜ “Seventeen years old when he broke my heart. Seventeen days later when another picked up the pieces. BREAKING AWAY by Toni Aleo. This is the latest instalment in the Assassins Series about a pro hockey player whose life is turned upside down by the death of his sister. But what he didn’t count on was the attraction he’d feel towards her drop-dead sexy dance teacher…

RECIPROCITY (Breach #3) by KI Lynn. This is the final book in the BREACH series. I love these books & the hero is one of the dirtiest talkers I’ve ever read!!! The romance is HOT, gritty, & heart breaking but also intensely passionate!! Be sure to read these in order: #1 Breach, #1.5 Dissolution, #2 Infraction, #3 Reciprocity.

UNMASKED: VOLUME 1 by Cassia Leo. This is the first volume in a “deliciously dark and mind-bending erotic thriller” serial by Cassia Leo. There will be 3 novellas in total and I haven’t read them but the blurb says this is about a woman who witnesses a murder which brings a mysterious man into her life who says he wants to protect her…

YANKED by Melanie Harlow. This is the follow-up to Frenched, a fun and sexy romantic comedy about a whirlwind romance in Paris!! It’s not a standalone though, so be sure to start with Frenched.
