I would like to suggest Bright Side by Kim Holden, it really touched my heart and made me cry ugly tears. I have not read all of the above books but lots of them I have on my Kindle and I just hope that we had more than twenty four hours in a day so that I could spend more time in reading all the amazing books I want to read like yesterday.
Love all Kristan Ashley’s and Collen Hoover’s books and ‘Sweet Gum Tree’ is my all time favourite.
Aestas says
I hear you! I wish we had more reading time too! Thank you for the rec too!

love your Blog Aestas and have been following it from last few months , i excitedly wait for your recommendations and reviews and have picked many amazing books from here which I might have missed otherwise, so thank you so much for all your time and efforts.
Aestas says
Thank you so much, Shell!! I’m really glad you’re loving it! I’m excited for all the new books we’re gonna find next! 😀
Shell says
Yes I am always super excited about the new books coming our way, I think I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder where books are concerned.
Can you suggest some books with issues like mental health/ personality disorder?
Aestas says
Shell – I was actually planning to make a whole category for them originally but couldn’t decide what to call it (I didn’t want to be offensive to anyone, but it is a GREAT category of romance to include). Let me know if you have suggestions for category names!
As for books like that, the hero is these books is bi-polar:
✦ FIND YOU IN THE DARK ➜ http://amzn.to/Lm4IV2
✦ LIGHT IN THE SHADOWS ➜ http://amzn.to/1ktoHOC
Also, there’s another one, but giving the title is a spoiler because you arent supposed to know he has a personality disorder. Send me a private message on Facebook if you want that title 🙂
Shell says
Hi Aestas, thanks for this recommendation I already have these books but have’t read them yet. I love this genre integrated in romance books, I did pick some other books on similar theme from your blog ( puddle jumping and Reclaiming the sand, I have guessed the book you are trying not to talk about , I have read it and I loved it , 5+ stars from me). I think it will be a GREAT idea to make list of books of this genre but you are right some people might get offended by the title but can we not give it another clever title which will not offend some people and have a list of my favourite catagory??
I am not on Facebook so can’t message you there and the reason for not being on any social networking site is BOOKS, I just want to spend all my spare time reading,

Jasmine says
I’d like to suggest Surrender to You by C.S. Janey! It’s not a typical love story but to this day when I think of books that emotionally wrecked me and then put me back together in the same sitting, Surrender is number 1 on that list!
Aestas says
Thank you!! I’ll check it out 🙂

Amanda says
I’d like to recommend Ten Below Zero by Whitney Barbetti! Some others that were suggested are great as well!
Ritu says
Thanks for the great recommendations!! Have read quite a few of them, colleen hoover books being my absolute favorites!! I have been following your blog for a few months now and mostly follow your reviews to pick up my next book 🙂
Since I haven’t seen this book in your tbr, I would recommend Bright Side by Kim Holden. It’s a beautiful, heart warming story and a real tear-jerker, one of the best books I have read this year!
Marsha says
I just finished When it Rains by Lisa de Jong. I bawled like a baby!
Jcz says
I love how I’ve read more than half of the books here. My favourite author is Colleen Hoover and I see that you pretty much have all her books in this list. Haha. I’m always looking for books that make me cry because I feel that I don’t cry often (atleast once a year) and reading these books gives me the emotional release I look for. Thanks for this list though. I’ll go through the rest of them slowly 🙂
Trish says
Hi! I’m a huge fan of authors like Cathy Lamb, Colleen Hoover and Katherine Allred . I enjoy a young adult/new adult romance occasionally. However, I am ready to read a book with more real, mature characters. Where are the 30 something’s? Any suggestions on books ?
Aestas says
Hi 🙂 Many of the books on this blog have 30+ couples. For example, this entire series: http://aestasbookblog.com/kristenashleyreadingorder/#burg

Firstly I love that you have a whole category dedicated to books that made you cry. Sometimes you just need a tear jerker of a book with all the emotions. Secondly I have just finished reading Sometimes Moments by Len Webster and balled like a baby. It was such a heart breakingly beautiful story that I think is so worthy of being on your list. I noticed it was on your to read list and I totally recommend it. Make sure you get the tissues ready though and maybe some comfort food. You will need it!
Abby Lumbert says
I would surely recommend Falling for Hadie by Komal Kant. I normally do not shed a tear during a book ever, but this book, you can’t help but just let it all out.
Kaila says
First of all I’d like to say I absolutely love your blog! It has successfully helped me pick out so many books to read, so thankyou. Anyway, I am looking for a book to make me cry. I know this sounds strange but I have never cried whilst reading a book before and I’d like to. If you’d tell me the most emotional book you’ve ever read, that’d help me a lot! Thanyou!
Aestas says

Love this list almost all done with it. I don’t know if you’ve read My Best Friend’s Girl by Dorothy Koomson. Beautiful story made me cry from beginning till end.
Mai Nguyen says
A huge tearjerker for me would be A Light in the Wound by Christine Brae. I find it unique also because the heroine actually ends up with the second love interest 🙂
Camille says
The Bronze Horseman Trilogy is my absofreakinglutely favorite toooo! Aaaarrgh! I wish I could talk to someone about it. Especially in the summer garden when hair cutting was involved and they were in the driveway and “who’s gonna help me?” I went into a sobbing fit.
Rahida says
Same here. I read the book for 4th times already, and that part still made my heart throbbing and I’m bawling like a crazy women ahahaha. Even my rommate thinks I’m weird. Truthfully, the trilogy is the best book I’ve ever read.
velma Wangutusi says
